Our Mission and Commitment
Strength, Hope, and Power in the Name of the Lord
At RF Ministries, we firmly believe that there is strength, hope, and power in the name of the Lord. Our purpose is rooted in sharing the love, power, and authority of Jesus Christ. We are dedicated to helping restore broken hearts, so that the living water and joy that come from His abundant love can overflow in our lives. All praise is given to Jesus, our Lord, Savior, and redeeming King.
Equipping for Spiritual Growth
We are committed to equipping individuals to grow spiritually. This growth happens through regular prayer, the reading of God’s Word, and spending quiet, intentional time with the Triune God. By nurturing these spiritual disciplines, we seek to deepen our relationship with God and strengthen our faith.
Making Disciples and Living Out Our Faith
Our goal is to make disciples as we strive to live lives that reflect Christ in every aspect of our being. It is our desire that others may see Christ in us because the Spirit lives within us. Through the Spirit’s presence, we are able to bless those around us, serve others with humility, and receive wisdom to navigate the challenges of life, especially in a world where the enemy’s attacks are ever increasing.

Our leadership
Sergio Oliden Founder & President
-
Sergio and his wife, Dana, live in Chandler, Arizona. They have three adult children and five grandchildren, and they attend Crossroads Church of the Nazarene.
Sergio is the founder and former president of Ethos Engineering, LLC (Ethos), an engineering firm located in Tempe, Arizona. He founded Ethos—short for “Eternally Trusting Him Over Self”—in 2012 as an act of obedience to the Father, leaving his place of employment to step into ministry. At first, Sergio believed Ethos would simply provide structural engineering services to supplement his wife’s income while he pursued ministry work. What he did not yet know was that God would use the business as a platform to share the Good News of the Gospel with the engineering community by demonstrating God’s love and character through Sergio’s actions, values, and faith. Ethos continues to serve the public with servant leadership, a commitment to putting people before profits, and unwavering integrity. Throughout the adventure of starting and growing the business, Sergio relied on God’s leading and provision, and Ethos grew in a way he could only attribute to God’s blessing. Sergio places all his trust in God and has an unshakable faith in Him, believing that all things are possible with God. He sold the business and retired in 2023.
Restoration and Freedom Ministries (RFM) began in December 2021 after much prayer and the leading of the Holy Spirit, following Sergio’s attendance at a Basic Training Camp in California hosted by For Freedom Outreach (FFO). Through that camp, Sergio experienced deep healing and restoration from father wounds, embraced a stronger identity as a child of God, and learned more about the spiritual power and authority believers have in Christ Jesus. FFO played an instrumental role in the early growth of RFM and generously provided their resources to help make the ministry a reality. Today, RFM’s mission is to bring the good news of healing, restoration, and freedom to men across Arizona, including Hispanic and Native American communities. Once again, God is demonstrating His faithfulness to fulfill His promises, just as He has done time and again throughout Sergio’s life.
Tim Morris Pastoral Ministry Leader
-
Tim Morris grew up along the Mississippi River in the farmlands of western Illinois; so country that even his ten speed was a John Deere. Today, Tim and his wife Julie are empty-nesters living in Scottsdale, Arizona as parents of a blended family; 3 sons, 2 daughters, and (so far) 2 grandchildren. Tim is active outdoors and somewhat of a wannabe endurance triathlete, mountaineer, and alpine climber.
After service in the U.S. Marines, Tim has worked bi-vocationally — both managing production home construction and in Christian ministry. Often a teacher of biblical life, Tim has served in pastoral, worship leading, and volunteer roles in churches and parachurch ministries since the early 1980’s. He was licensed for ministry in 1987 and ordained in 1998 by Grace International Churches and Ministries. Similarly bi-vocational, he holds a degree in business management and a master’s degree in theology.
In the late 1980’s, the Lord used Dalbey’s “Healing the Masculine Soul” to ignite in Tim a passion for the restoration of the hearts of Christian men. “Wild at Heart”, through boot camps and through Eldredge’s many other books, has continued to fuel the fire of leading men to encounter and know Jesus the Messiah for restoring their hearts and experiencing life transformation as apprentices to Jesus.
Charles Boles Administrative Leader, Marketing
-
Charles is a native of Tempe who has spent more than 45 years serving men in the barbershop community. Throughout those years, he listened to countless stories of joy, hardship, faith, and the challenges men face while navigating life both with and without God. Those experiences inspired him to pursue higher education so he could offer sound, Godly guidance to others. Charles earned a B.A. in Communications and Human Resource Development, an M.Ed. in Counseling and Human Relations, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Professional Counseling.
As the youngest of five children in a blended “His, Hers, and Theirs” family, Charles faced unique challenges growing up. Although he was raised in the church, it was not until after serving overseas in the United States Army that he fully understood his need for God’s grace and direction in his life. During an extended mission trip to Brazil in 1989, Charles met his future wife, Renata, and they married in 1990. Through their relationship and marriage, God’s love became even more real and present in his life. Together they have two children: a married daughter, a son-in-law, and a son.
In 2015, Charles founded the Loved, Accepted And Heard Foundation (LAAHF), built on the belief that every person was created in the image of God, who desires to be loved, accepted and heard by His creation. Today, you can often find Charles cutting hair for longtime friends, working out at the gym, serving in board meetings, or sitting in a local Starbucks surrounded by his eclectic group of friends while solving the world’s problems.
Brandon White IT & Graphics Designer Prayer Team Leader - English
-
I’m a husband, father of three amazing daughters, and a man deeply passionate about following Jesus and helping other men encounter the freedom and restoration only He can bring. I married my high school sweetheart, Shaena, and together we’ve built our lives around faith, family, and serving others. Some of my greatest joy comes from leading my family, building authentic relationships, and walking alongside people through real life struggles and victories. I also have the privilege of leading the prayer team here at Restoration and Freedom Ministries, which has been one of the most meaningful parts of my journey. When I’m not serving in ministry or spending time with family, I enjoy 3D printing, fishing, being outdoors, and pursuing creative projects and ideas.
Through Restoration and Freedom Ministries, my mission is to reach the hearts of men and call them into deeper identity, healing, purpose, and brotherhood in Christ. I believe many men are searching for something more, including real freedom, real purpose, and real connection. Inspired by messages like Wild at Heart and Fathered by God, I’m passionate about creating spaces where men can drop the masks, encounter God in a powerful way, and step into the men they were created to be as husbands, fathers, leaders, and sons of God.
Jason Laidlaw Camp Executive Leader
-
I’m the Camp Executive Leader at Restoration and Freedom Ministries,
where my passion is creating opportunities for men to encounter the
Father, experience restoration, and walk in true freedom. I’ve been
married to my wife Tracy for many years, and together we’ve been
blessed with three children by birth, four more through foster care
and adoption, and four amazing grandchildren who know me as “Papa J.”
Whether I’m mentoring men, sharing life around a campfire, or
exploring the outdoors through hiking and overlanding adventures with
My Beautiful Mamacita, my heart is always drawn toward helping others
discover deeper identity, healing, purpose, and fullness of life in
Christ.
My passion for restoration comes from my own story. Although I gave my
life to Christ in 1991, for years I lived with a fear that no matter
how faithfully I tried to follow Him, I would eventually fail and
disappoint Him. Through "Basic" camps and the incredible brotherhood
of men that I get to do life with, I have come to understand just how
much my Father in heaven loves me. I’m devoted to Restoration and
Freedom Ministries, where I have the opportunity to help others find
rest in the Father’s love and understand the freedom that comes from
being His son. That transformation changed my life, and it’s why I
believe every man needs the opportunity to have his heart restored and
be called into the fullness of who God created him to be.
Morgan Kaiser Volunteers Team Leader
-
My name is Morgan Kaiser, and I am an Arizona native who grew up in a small town. For many years, my life was marked by struggles with substance abuse, pornography, and lust. In 2008, I had my first encounter with God, and through His grace and patience, He continued pursuing my heart for the next ten years until I was finally ready to fully surrender my life to Him.
In 2018, I became a new man in Christ. God transformed my life in a powerful way, giving me freedom, purpose, and a renewed identity in Him. Today, I am blessed to be married to an amazing woman, and we have two children.
I was introduced to “Restoration and Freedom Ministries” at the very first camp in Arizona, and I have not missed one since. This ministry and the brotherhood of men within it have had a profound impact on my life, helping shape me into a better man, husband, father, and son of God. I am grateful for every opportunity to serve, encourage others, and share the hope and freedom that can only be found in Jesus Christ.
Todd Odell Camp Volunteers Trainer
-
My name is Todd Odell. I'm an Arizona native, born and raised. I am married to an amazing woman and the proud father of 6 children and 10 grandchildren. My wife and I own a business making access available to people with disabilities, which is very fulfilling. But my real joy is sharing the love of Christ with other men and watching the transformation in their lives. This ministry has not only given these other men and I a true brotherhood, not found anywhere else, it has also healed many of our souls from wounds left by bad relationships, addiction, abuse, and brokenness while bringing us closer to the Father. I am excited to continue watching and serving God while working through this ministry.
Pastor Robert Ginn Camp Elder
-
I have been married to Linda since January 1986, and we have two sons, Robert and Peter and a daughter in law Megan and three beautiful granddaughters, April, Mabel and Rose. I live in a small village called Doagh, 22 miles from Belfast the capital city of Northern Ireland. I was not brought up in a Christian home, however, I had a few Christian friends who told me about Jesus and how He died on a cross for me. That had an immense impact on me. On the 22nd August 1996 I surrendered my life to Jesus and He became my Lord and Saviour.
I qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1985, practicing in a variety of specialties. In 2010 I was accepted as a Minister in Training in the Elim Pentecostal Movement. I was ordained as an Elim Foursquare Gospel Alliance Minister in April 2014. At present I am the Senior Pastor of Maghera Elim Pentecostal Church in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. I am also a Trustee with ‘The Stauros Foundation’ a ministry that ministers to people who suffer from addictions. God has given me a deep passion for hurting men and women, but especially men who’s lives are broken due to sin and the consequences of poor, wrong chooses which all men can and do make. Through the ministry of Restoration and Freedom Ministries I believe God is and will continue to help men live in Restoration and Freedom through Christ. I feel very privileged and honoured to be part of the leadership of this God ordained ministry.
Pastor Andres Marrufo Worship Leader - English

Even with all I've been through, as I look back on the chaos of my childhood, marked by sexual abuse, alcoholism, drug addiction, and physical and psychological abuse within my family—I realize that my source of comfort has always been God. He has been there right beside me the whole time. I thank God for my grandmother, who has been a steadfast prayer warrior in my life. I always felt reassured knowing that if something weighed on my heart, she was fervently lifting me in prayer. I am forever grateful for her unwavering devotion - knowing she was praying hard if something was wrong, and “God came a-knocking.” I thank God for praying grandmothers.
Last year, I experienced what felt like my own 40 days in the wilderness. During that time, I faced multiple challenges, leaving me feeling very vulnerable. I did not realize until now just how hard that time was for me. Trying to breathe through the challenges of the addiction process has been a difficult journey. On top of that, my stepdad passed away, and the roller coaster of emotions for my mother and our family was intense. More than anything, in the midst of brokenness and chaos, all I wanted was freedom.
When I was at the end of my rope, I just had to believe God was present. He always goes before us, carving out paths. Even in the darkest moments, we can feel Him near us. I know He speaks to me, and I have learned to listen. He gave me a life verse, Philippians 4:6. It's incredible how that scripture has come back over and over again in my life. Now, as I work through my recovery steps, it comes back again and again.
All of Philippians 4:6 is significant, but I gain the most comfort from “Do not be anxious, but with a prayer of thanksgiving, present your request to God.” That part of the verse is so profound in my life. God used this scripture to take me to a place of thankfulness.
